But the Spectrum in south Philadelphia – empty and silent for the last ten months, awaiting demolition to make way for a new entertainment complex – was my big-rock room in the Seventies. Katy Perry will most likely score her first Number One album next week, says Billboard . Teenage Dream, her second disc, is on pace to sell between 170,000 to 200,000 copies as it debuts, more than enough to take the top spot away from the summer's biggest album, Eminem's Recovery. Recovery, which has spent seven weeks at Number One, will likely drop to Number Three, with American Idol winner Fantasia forecasted to take second with her new album Back to Me, currently predicted to sell between 120,000 and 140,000 copies. Contrary to rumors, David Bowie and Lady Gaga have not teamed up to work on the pop star's upcoming album. Blondie is planning a staggered worldwide rollout this year and next for "Panic of Girls," the group's first set of new material since "The Curse of Blondie" in 2003. It's been 23 years since the Cars split, but the band is finally hinting at a reunion. On their official Facebook page, the band posted a photograph of the surviving members — singer Ric Ocasek, keyboardist Greg Hawkes, drummer David Robinson and guitarist Elliot Easton — gathered together in a Boston studio surrounded by their instruments. As they gear up for American Idol's tenth season next year, producers are prepping big changes to boost declining ratings and the loss of longtime judge Simon Cowell. The show is reportedly close to a deal to bring back producer Nigel Lythgoe (who left in 2008) in an executive producer role while targeting new candidates including Justin Timberlake and Elton John as potential replacements for Cowell, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
