The New York Post reports that Sofia Vergara is back on the market. The Modern Family star has split from Nick Loeb, her boyfriend of more than two years. Sources claim the couple broke up over the weekend after a series of fights, which explains Sofia’s solo appearance at the Met Gala on Monday. Of course there are multiple sides to any story, with some insiders claiming Sofia’s fame was too much for Nick, while others say the couple had been having problems for some time. However Sofia is the one who ended things, and have already moved out Nick’s apartment into a hotel.

If you were watching the Met Gala on Monday, and you noticed Sofia’s solo appearance, than you certainly noticed a celebrity who was missing. Instead on donning a fabulous gown in New York, Kim Kardashian was home tweeting about the event! According to Radaronline, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who plans the gala, banned the reality star from the event. “Anna hates Kim. It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn’t fit that bill at all,” claims a source.
Housewives Feud Sparked by Goodbye Gift

As expected, the Desperate Housewives in-fighting continued to the very end. With the show winding down Sunday, the cast decided to present the crew with a goodbye gift, but Teri Hatcher had nothing to do with it. Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Vanessa Williams got together to buy the crew carry-on luggage. The cast included a note with the gft, “Thank you for a magical 8 years,” that was signed by Eva, Marcia, Felicity and Vanessa, but no Teri. “The girls don’t get along with Teri so they organized this and left her out,” claims a source. This isn’t the first report of friction between the cast and Teri; During Nicollette Sheridan’s wrongful termination suit, a television executive testified that Sheridan said Hatcher was the “meanest woman in the world.”
Matthew Fox Arrested for DUI

Former Lost star Matthew Fox was busted for DUI on Friday. TMZ reports Fox was pulled over in Oregon in the early morning hours on his way to a fast food restaurant for a late night snack, reportedly with an unidentified passenger in his vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and released later that day.
Evangelista and Pinault Settle Child Support

Model Linda Evangelista has settled her child support dispute with Salma Hayek’s husband Francois-Henri Pinault, father of her five-year-old son Augustin. Evangelista had initially asked for $46,000 a month in support, claiming she needed the money to pay for armed bodyguards, a 24-hour nanny and other expenses. Evangelista and Pinault dated approximately four months before she became pregnant with Augustin.

The Avengers was a surefire hit at the box office, but not everyone’s happy with the superhero movie. The film received some backlash over two scenes in which the Hulk’s alter ego Dr. Bruce Banner is shown helping cure lepers in the Kolkata slums of India. “Kolkata has a rich culture and heritage, and a filmmaker should respect that. There are two scenes about India, and they only show slums," Kolkata-based actress Rituparna Sengupta told the Hindustan Times. “It is disturbing to see the murky underbelly of India in Hollywood films. But before pointing it out to the West, we need to make efforts to change their perception about us,” added Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have settled their wedding plans, and will wed later this month at a private ceremony in the Bahamas. The National Enquirer claims that their children, some nannies and close friends will witness their vows, in a place close to where Angelina scattered her mother’s ashes. A source claims that the couple originally planned to wed at their $70 million estate on the French Riviera on August 11th, the 50th wedding anniversary of Brad’s parents. Fights over the plans changed their minds, so they settled on the private ceremony, and plan to have a large party in France at a later date. “It seemed like the perfect solution to their problems,” claims a source.

A source tells Us Weekly that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are very serious. The couple, who went public with their relationship a month ago, are so serious that they are starting to talk marriage! Apparently Kim is considering joining Kanye when he goes on tour with Jay-Z, but Jay has allegedly banned her from the tour. That will make things hard for Kim, who wants to spend as much time as possible with the new beau.

Lindsay Lohan seemed to behave herself at the White House Correspondence Dinner Saturday night, although she reportedly “disappeared a few times into the john,” to grab a cigarette. Even though paparazzi has snapped Lindsay smoking, numerous times over the years, New York Post columnist Cindy Adams said Lindsay claimed “she doesn’t usually smoke but is boning up on it to prep for her Elizabeth Taylor role.” Meanwhile, Adams claims Lohan was moved to tears after noticing an elderly Hispanic cleaning the ladies’ room, and decided to give her a $100 tip. The attendant first refused the tip, however Lindsay insisted.

Whitney Houston was allegedly buried in over $800,000 worth of jewelry, and her family fears that someone might try to steal it. According to the Daily Star, Whitney’s grave hour 24- hour security watch at Fairview Cemetery, but mother Cissy cannot keep it going, and is looking into another option. A family friend told the Star that the family is thinking of encasing her body in cement, to prevent any possible burglars. “It makes robbery virtually impossible,” the source says.
