Miley Cyrus holds the #1 spot on this year's Maxim's Hot 100 list, followed by Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Mila Kunis, and Jennifer Lawrence (all in the top 5). However, these ladies might not be too happy about it, since this year's list also includes Lennay Kekua - the made-up girlfriend of Manti Te'o - at #69.

Miss America Theme Song Cut from Pageant

The 2013 Miss America pageant will sound different from years past. The theme song, written by the late Bernie Wayne, was used without the proper licensing in 2011 and 2012. The Miss America Organization has confirmed that due to the licensing dispute filed byWayne’s wife, they will no longer be using the song. The next Miss America pageant will air on September 15th on ABC.

According to a nationwide poll conducted by Reader’s Digest, Tom Hanks was voted as the Most Trusted Person inAmerica, receiving 65% of the votes. Sandra Bullock, Denzel Washington, and Meryl Streep all followed in the top five spots. President Obama came in at #65.

After playing the role of Katharine Chancellor on the CBS soap opera for 40 years, Jeanne Cooper passed away yesterday at the age of 84. Her son Corbin Bernsen shared the new on his Facebook page yesterday, saying, “My mother passed away this morning just a short time ago, peaceful with my sister by her side, in her sleep. She has been a blaze her entire life, that beacon, that boxer I spoke of earlier. She went the full twelve rounds and by unanimous decision ... won! And while her light finally gave into the wind that gives flight to all our journeys, there will always be a glimmer left behind by what she stood for.”

The 50 Most Powerful Working Moms list, published annually by Working Mother magazine, has several stars among the ranks this year. Beyonce ranked in at number five (making her the highest ranked celebrity), with Giselle Bundchen and Mariah Carey following at spots eight and ten respectively. Others to make the list included Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Tina Fey, Angelina Jolie, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Ballas Bowing Out of DWTS?

After suffering a severe lower back injury last week, two-time Dancing with the Stars champion Mark Ballas may be missing from tonight's episode of the show. “While trying a lift, I compressed two discs in my lower back and could hardly move for two days,” Ballas revealed on a USA Today blog. “The timing couldn’t be worse, being that we have to know four dances this week even though we will only be performing two.” The injury caused Ballas to miss several rehearsals last week, and if he cannot dance on the show this evening, fellow dancer Henry Byalikov will be taking his spot to partner with Aly Raisman.

Glee Catches Grief for Airing School Shooting Episode

Last week's episode of Glee involved a school shooting at McKinley High. While no one in the episode was hurt, the content didn't sit well with some viewers.  “It was so realistic that I couldn’t believe it,” Sandy Hook parent Tracy Muzzio told NBC Connecticut. “This close to the tragedy without any warning, I believe was inconsiderate.” Fellow parent Andrew Paleysaid he didn’t watch the episode, but was still upset by it. “We’re going through a healing phase right now and without giving us any kind of warning, it’s going to open up wounds we’re trying to close right now,” he said.
