...or is it? The man allegedly behind the Manti Te'o hoax involving the Notre Dame linebacker's fake girlfriend, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, recently auditioned for The Voice. According to Us Weekly, the serial mastermind behind Te'o's non-existent girlfriend showed up to try out for the upcoming season of the show...with an equally sad and bizarre story. Before performing Matisyahu's song "One Day," he told producers that he was part of a Christian band with his cousins, and the group was involved in a "massive" freeway accident while traveling to a youth conference. The collision was so extreme that it nearly left one of them brain dead. “He had this insane sob story before (he sang),” claimed a source. “It would make for great TV.” But, he didn't get past the judges to the next round. Maybe he'll make a cameo appearance when Katie Couric's interview with Te'o on Thursday?
