Oscar Winner Ernest Borgnine has Died

Oscar winner Ernest Borgnine passed away Sunday in Los Angeles at the age of 95. A spokesperson for the actor said he died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center surrounded by family. Borgnine is probably best known for his 1955 Oscar winning role in Marty, as well as 1953’s From Here to Eternity. On the small screen, he starred in the 60s series McHale’s Navy, and co-starred in Airwolf in the mid 80s. More recently Borgnine had a guest stint on NBC’s ER in 2009, which earned him an Emmy nomination.
