The email directs readers on how to report negative comments about the church on websites, with the hope of getting them removed. Meanwhile, Cruise’s lawyer is fighting back, too. Bert Fields accuses Holmes and her team of “playing the media” to gain sympathy. Sources close to Cruise say contrary to popular belief, Scientology did not cause their split.
