Us Weekly reports that Tom Cruise had such control over wife Katie Holmes that he refused to let her participate in a planned Dawson’s Creek reunion. "[Producers] were begging her to sign on for a reunion movie," reports the mag. "Tom said absolutely no way and thought going backward would be bad." The mag claims Scientology also played a part in Tom’s decision. He allegedly didn’t want her to do it because of “sexually compromising scenes” claiming “the Scientology folks objected to it.” But Katie really wanted to be involved. "[She] didn't care how 'low-brow' he thinks Dawson's Creek is," a source told Us. "She wanted to do the movie and reconnect with her fans. And have fun -- something she rarely does anymore." When Katie Holmes got together with Tom Cruise, many believed she had become a Scientologist just like her husband, but sources now say that while she did practice the religion, she wasn’t very committed to it. According to Radaronline, Katie was “careful” about what she revealed during Scientology auditing sessions so nothing could be used against her. “Katie's father, Martin, advised her to be careful with what she said during these sessions so that nothing negative could get leaked to the press or be used to make her look bad,” claims a source. “She was never completely committed to Scientology, but she participated because she truly was in love with Tom and she knew it meant a lot to him. Although Crusie is named highest paid actor, Katie won’t get money from Tom. Early reports claimed Katie Holmes could get between $15 and $20 million from her divorce from Tom Cruise, but TMZ says that number’s pretty inflated. In fact, the site claims Katie could get nothing from the split because the prenup she signed keeps her from getting her hands on Tom’s fortune. But Katie’s not worried about the cash. “She's not about the money,” said a source. “She's not that girl. She loves to work.”
