It's Official: Julianne Hough Returning to “DWTS” As A Judge
Julianne Hough is a dancing queen, and rumor has it she’s sashaying her way back to “Dancing with the Stars.”
Hough stopped by "Good Morning America" to confirm that she'll be judging on season 19 of the ABC reality hit, according to TVLine.
TMZ previously reported that she was close to taking a gig as the fourth full-time judge on the “DWTS” panel, where she’ll now sit alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman.
The show will return in September, and while the pros have been announced, fans are still awaiting confirmation of the newest stars hitting the dance floor.
Hough was on the show for seasons four through eight, before leaving to pursue music and an acting career.
Her roles have included a remake of “Footloose,” Nicholas Sparks’s “Safe Haven” and, most recently, Diablo Cody’s directorial debut, “Paradise.”
Don’t count Julianne out of Hollywood just yet, because she will reportedly still have more than enough time for acting with this plum judging job.
Hough already has another movie coming out, a thriller from Universal Pictures titled “Curve.”
Per “Variety,” she’ll play a woman who gets trapped into her car after trying to “escape a charming, predatory hitchhiker.”
Do you think Julianne will make a good “DWTS” judge?
