Salary Dispute Halts “Big Bang” Production

It looks like the “Big Bang Theory” team is facing “The Salary Quandary,” but it’s not for an episode of the CBS hit.

No, behind the scenes, the cast of “TBBT” is playing hooky from a table read for the second time this week as they negotiate a pay raise, according to Deadline.

“Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on ‘The Big Bang Theory’ – which was originally schedule to begin today – has been postponed,” WBTV said in a statement (via Deadline).

They previously renegotiated their contracts in 2010, but with the unheard of three-season pickup, it’s not a shock that the stars are angling for a salary bump.

As long as both sides can work things out soon, there’s no real risk of missing the September 22 premiere date as scheduled.

The show will get its start this season on Monday nights, due to CBS’s newly-acquired Thursday Night Football beginning this fall.
