"Scandal" Star Accused of Threatening Wife with Murder-Suicide
Columbus Short is in a whole heap of legal trouble.
His wife, Tuere Short, has filed for divorce, claiming that the actor put a “knife to her throat and threatened murder/suicide,” according to TMZ.
She has reportedly been granted a restraining order, which comes after charges against her estranged husband earlier this month for criminal domestic violence.
The star has pled not guilty on that charge, as well as a child abuse charge for “allegedly abusing Tuere while their child and his son were in the house.”
Short was investigated last month after a nasty bar incident with another patron, and he was facing up to four years in prison on one count of felony battery with serious bodily harm.
After the March arrest, Deadline reported that his future on “Scandal” is “uncertain,” and creator Shonda Rhimes has not yet spoken out on the troubling reports.
“Scandal” airs its season finale tonight at 10pm on ABC. Do you think Short will be back on the show next season? Weigh in below.
