Katie Holmes Making “Dangerous” Return to TV

“I don’t want to wait” for the fall TV season.

It appears that Miss Joey Potter herself, Katie Holmes, might be making a full-time return to television for the 2014-2015 season.

TVLine reports that she has been wooed for a role on ABC’s untitled drama from Richard LaGravenese (“Behind the Candelabra”).

A new take on “Dangerous Liaisons,” the show would star Holmes as “Ann, a woman of education and breeding, who has never used those advantages for power over others.”

She will face off against the scheming Philip, who will be played by Rufus Sewell.

Since “Dawson’s Creek” ended in 2003, Holmes has not made many appearances on the small screen, aside from a one-off guest roles on “Eli Stone” and “How I Met Your Mother,” as well as her Jackie Kennedy role in “The Kennedys” miniseries.

Later this year, she will co-star in the film adaptation of the young adult novel “The Giver.”
