Madonna Directing “Ade: A Love Story” Adaptation
Madonna wears so many hats, it’s amazing she ever has time to release new records.
Yet the pop superstar is adding another major project to her plate, signing on to direct an adaptation of Rebecca Walker’s “Ade: A Love Story.”
The interracial love story follows the title character, a Swahili man who meets and falls for a college student before their lives are disrupted by a civil war, Deadline reports.
Madge directed her first feature in 2011 with “W.E.,” a political drama starring James D’Arcy and Abbie Cornish.
Yet she’s still working on her next album, her follow-up to “MDNA” from 2012. On Instagram this week, she might have teased a new single, Digital Spy reports.
Madonna posted a photo reading “Rebel heart” on Instagram with a caption that reads an awful lot like lyrics.
“Day turns into night. I won’t give up the fight. Don’t want to get to the end of my days .......... saying I Wasn’t amazed! #revolution of love.”
The singer previously tweeted about working with producer Avicii on new recordings.
