Woody Allen’s Lawyer: Mia Farrow “Implanted” Molestation Claims on Dylan

Just three days after Dylan Farrow’s open letter detailing the alleged abuse at the hands of Woody Allen, the director’s lawyer is speaking out.

Speaking to “TODAY,” Elkan Abramowitz said that in his view, Dylan truly believes that she was molested by Allen when she was seven years old.

“[Allen’s] reaction is one of overwhelming sadness,” he added. “The idea that [Dylan] was molested was implanted by her mother, [Mia Farrow], and that memory is never going to go away.”

Abramowitz further claimed that Farrow was upset about Allen’s relationship with her adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn.

The “Rosemary’s Baby” actress responded on Twitter, writing:

In her letter, Dylan wrote about the stars who have continued to work with Allen over the years in spite of these allegations, which were first reported in 1993, though charges were never filed.

“What if it had been your child, Cate Blanchett? Louis CK? Alec Baldwin? What if it had been you, Emma Stone,” she wrote. “Or you, Scarlett Johansson? You knew me when I was a little girl, Diane Keaton. Have you forgotten me?”

In response, Blanchett told a journalist, “It’s obviously been a long and painful situation for the family and I hope they find some sort of resolution and peace.”

Baldwin also responded in a series on now-deleted tweets (via E! News):

“What the f*** is wrong w u that u think we all need to b commenting on this family’s personal struggle? ... You are mistaken if you think there is a place for me, or any outsider, in this family’s issue.”
