Lamar Odom Signs Deal to Play Ball in Spain
Lamar Odom is hoping to get his career back in gear, signing on for a major return to basketball with a gig in Spain.
ESPN reports that the Clippers and Lakers alum has signed a two-month contract with Laboral Kutxa, a Spanish basketball team.
After a spot opened due to another player’s injury, Odom was offered the spot and could play his first game as early as this Saturday.
According to ESPN, his plan is “to play out the rest of this season in Spain before determining whether to attempt an NBA comeback.”
Odom, of course, is the estranged husband of reality star Khloe Kardashian. Following his public struggles with alleged drug and alcohol abuse, culminating in an arrest on suspicion of DUI last year, the pair separated.
The athlete has since maintained a low profile, though his separation from Khloe continues to play out on this season of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
