Dr. Luke Refutes Eating Disorder Claims from Ke$ha’s Mom
Since Ke$ha stepped out of the limelight for a 30-day stay in rehab for an eating disorder, her mother has engaged in a high-profile feud with Dr. Luke.
After Pebe Sebert spoke to Radar, implicating the famed record producer for her daughter’s health issues, a rep for Dr. Luke released a statement to “People” refuting the claims.
“These statement and allegations concerning Dr. Luke are completely false,” the statement reads (via “People”). “It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health.”
In a new interview with “People,” Pebe further alleges that Dr. Luke’s comments led her daughter to bulimia.
“Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff… but [she] was not getting thin fast enough. And that’s when she first became bulimic,” she said. “Dr. Luke told a friend of ours he thought she looked like a refrigerator on her latest video, and could she please try to control her weight.”
At this time, Ke$ha has not released a statement regarding the feud.
