Move over, Cameron Diaz, because there’s a new bad teacher in town.

It’s not that Katie Holmes’s “Miss Meadow” is really all that bad at teaching, but let’s just say she has… other, more violent talents.

The “Dawson’s Creek” alum plays a potentially disturbed elementary school teacher who moonlights as a gun-toting vigilante to protect her students.

She clearly has a troubled and mysterious past, which is explored in flashbacks, and her hobbies seem to include hopscotch and tap dancing.

“There are bad people in the world, and they shouldn’t be around the good people, especially the little ones,” Holmes warns.

Mary Kay Place and James Badge Dale also star in the indie release, which is expected to debut later this year.

Holmes has had a major career boost since her split from Tom Cruise, making her first film since 2011’s critically panned “Jack and Jill” with this summer’s adaptation of “The Giver.”

All in all, “Miss Meadow” is giving us some serious “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” flashbacks, though the fact that Holmes is now playing the teacher makes us feel very, very old.
