Top 5 Movies We Can’t Wait to See in February 2014

Each month, so many different movies are released, some great and some not so great. If you’re unsure what films to check out this month, we’re here to help! Here are the Top 5 Movies We Can’t Wait to See in February:

1. “Vampire Academy” – Based on the extremely successful young adult series, “Vampire Academy” stars Zoey Deutch (“Ringer”) as Rose Hathaway, is half-human, half-vampire creature known as a Dhampir. Her job is to save the mortal vampires (the Moroi) from immortal vampires called the Stigoi. Gabriel Byrne, Sarah Hyland (“Modern Family”), Olga Kurylenko and Joely Richardson also star. Rated PG-13, out February 7.

2. “RoboCop” – February appears to be the month of ‘80s reboots, and kicking things off is a newly-remade version of RoboCop. Filling Peter Weller’s shoes is “The Killing” actor Joel Kinnaman, playing a cop who becomes a one-man policing machine – literally. The film has a top-notch cast that also includes Abbie Cornish as his wife, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams (“The Wire”) and Samuel L. Jackson. Rated PG-13, out February 12.

3. “About Last Night” – Based on both the 1986 film starring Brat Packers Rob Lowe and Demi Moore and the original David Mamet play, this new romantic comedy follows two new couples. According to the official release, their love will be “put to the test in the real world” after they “journey from the bar to the bedroom.” Kevin Hart, Joy Bryant (“Parenthood”), Regina Hall and Michael Ealy star.  Rated R, out February 14.

4. “Endless Love” – “Magic Mike” actor Alex Pettyfer stars another romantic remake this Valentine’s Day season, though this one seems to skew heavily into drama territory. Following the 1981 film starring Brooke Shields, Pettyfer plays a young boy who falls for a wealthy girl played by Gabriella Wilde. “Endless Love” follows their star-crossed relationship as her parents struggle to put an end to it. Robert Patrick, Bruce Greenwood and Joely Richardson also star. Rated PG-13, out February 14.

5. “Non-Stop” – In what some are calling “Taken” on a plane, Liam Neeson brings his action skills to the high skies as an Air Marshal who begins receiving mysterious texts. He must find a way to turn over $150 million or “a passenger on his flight will be killed every 20 minutes,” according to the release. Julianne Moore plays one of the passengers on the plane, while up-and-comer Lupita Nyong’o (“12 Years a Slave”), Corey Stoll (“House of Cards”) and “Downton Abbey” actress Michelle Dockery also star. Rated PG-13, out February 28.
