Ke$ha announced today that she will extend her stint in rehab beyond 30 years in a bid to stay healthy.
MTV News reports that the pop star has cancelled tour dates planned for March and April in the wake of her decision.
“I was so looking forward to performing at these dates but I need to follow my doctor’s advice and get my health back on track,” she said in a statement (via MTV). “All of your support during this time has been so amazing. I couldn’t have done this without you all. I look forward to coming back stronger than ever on the next tour.”
Ke$ha checked into the rehab facility, revealing that she has been struggling with an eating disorder for some time.
Her mother later checked into the facility, citing post-traumatic stress disorder from the ordeal.
The “Crazy Kids” singer most recently tweeted from rehab on January 22, writing:
Ke$ha followed that up with another tweet, writing, “I couldn’t do this without you.”
