Amanda Bynes Leaves UCLA Facility: Her Parents Speak Out
Amanda Bynes has allegedly left UCLA Medical Center, where she has been receiving treatment for the past several weeks.
According to TMZ, the star, who was transferred to the UCLA facility after being placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold back in July, has been moved to a posh Malibu rehab center.
In a statement from her parents Monday (via “Us Weekly”), Bynes’s parents addressed the move:
“Currently, upon recommendation by the skilled healthcare professionals at UCLA Medical Center, Amanda is receiving specialized treatment in a private facility outside of Los Angeles. Amanda is making great strides towards recovery.”
The Bynes family also shed light on the reports of Lynn withdrawing her Petition for Conservatorship, which they say came “in an effort not to duplicate conservator rights,” as she was granted “Lanterman-Pertis-Short Conservatorship over Amanda.
Though it has been confirmed that Lynn was granted conservatorship over her daughter, it is unclear what’s next for the troubled starlet.
