Miley Cyrus Unleashes a “Wrecking Ball,” Reveals New Album Art
Even before Miley Cyrus showed off her wild side at last night’s VMAs, the country-turned-pop star has dropped the next single from her upcoming album “Bangerz.”
Cyrus premiered her new track, “Wrecking Ball,” on iTunes yesterday, already topping the top spot. Along with it, she showed off the cover art for her latest record as well.
While the 20-year-old singer shook up her image with the party anthem “We Can’t Stop,” “Wrecking Ball” is a much more emotional tune.
With lyrics like “Don’t you ever say I just walked away/ I will always want you/ I can’t live a lie,” it’s hard not to draw parallels to her tumultuous relationship with fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
With the pastels and neon lights, the singer seems to trying to take it back to a time before she was even born: the ‘80s.
Miley's new album "Bangerz" is due out on October 8.
