Jennifer Lopez Returning As “Idol” Judge, Boyfriend Says

While
Jennifer Lopez has been coy about her possible return to “American Idol,” her boyfriend Casper Smart spoiled the big news for her!

When asked if J.Lo was rejoining the judges’ panel, Smart simply told E! News, “Yes.”

A source added that the deal is not yet done, but that the “On the Floor” singer’s involvement with the series will be announced by FOX once everything is settled.

Radar Online reports that Lopez will likely earn at least $15 million dollars for the 13th season of the singing competition series.

While former “Idol” alums like Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson and Clay Aiken have reportedly been considered to replace outgoing judges Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, only Keith Urban’s return has been announced.

The current frontrunner for the panel’s third chair, alongside Keith and J.Lo, is Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am.

Season 13 of “American Idol” is set for January 2014.
