Porsha Williams’s “RHOA” Future in Question After Underground Railroad Remarks
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams is at the center of a controversy stemming from her comments on the show.
Yet instead of a scandalous fight with a co-star or even a juicy relationship, the media firestorm was sparked by her comments on… American history?
According to “TVGuide,” Williams and her “RHOA” co-stars toured Savannah’s Freedom Trail on the show.
In the episode, which aired Sunday night, the 31-year-old reality star was perplexed when the guide showed them the underground passage by which people traveled to escape slavery.
“Well, there has to be an opening for the railroad at some point, because somebody’s driving the train,” she said. “It’s not electric like we have now.”
After a moment of awkward silence, Phaedra Parks calmly replied, “It wasn’t a train, baby.”
In recent weeks, there have been rumors that Williams might not be asked back for the next season, and “TVGuide” reports that the episode is only fueling the fire.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo. Would you be sad to see Porsha go from the show? Weigh in below!
