Lea Michele Sets “Louder” Release Date, Calls Cory Monteith "The Greatest Man"

Though Lea Michele has had an inarguably rough past few months, the “Glee” actress continues to be a force of nature.

Currently in the middle of filming the show’s fifth season, she has also managed to record her solo debut and even released the first single, “Cannonball.”

In an appearance on “Ellen,” the 27-year-old star confirmed that the record, “Louder,” will hit stores in February and opened up to host Ellen DeGeneres about her difficult year following the death of Cory Monteith.

“What people also don’t understand is that going to work is no harder than being at home and being in the house and opening p a closet and seeing a pair of shoes,” she said (via “Us Weekly”). “There’s this grief [that] goes with you everyday whatever you’re doing.”

Michele explained that she’d rather be with her “Glee” family, who were going through the same loss at the time.

She also discussed Monteith’s December 2012 interview on “Ellen,” when he confirmed his relationship with Michele.

“It’s one of my favorite memories… I was so happy,” she told DeGeneres. “He’s such a private person, and I literally lived every day of my life feeling like the luckiest girl in the whole world. I just thought he was the greatest man and so at that moment, that memory, it means so much to me.”
