Tom Cruise Reportedly Sues Tabloids: I Didn't "Abandon" Suri

Tom Cruise
is fighting back at the tabloids for claiming that he “abandoned” his daughter Suri – and he’s putting his money where his mouth is.

TMZ alleges that the action star has filed a $50 million lawsuit against the publisher of “Life & Style” and “In Touch” for insinuating that he was a bad father.

“I have in no way cut Suri out of my life – whether physically, emotionally, financially or otherwise,” Cruise reportedly said in the documents (via TMZ).

Part of the suit stems from an “In Touch” headline earlier this year that read “Abandoned by Daddy,” which claimed that Cruise was too busy filming two movies to keep in touch with his daughter.

“[Even] during the times when I was working overseas and was not able to see Suri in person, we were [and continue to be] extremely close,” he allegedly added in the documents. “As my numerous emails with Suri’s mother [Katie Holmes] during this time period demonstrate, I was a constant presence in Suri’s life.”
