Justin Timberlake Debuts New Songs on “Inside Llewyn Davis” Soundtrack
Justin Timberlake has established himself as both a successful actor and an iconic musician, and his latest project is the perfect marriage of both passions.
For his upcoming film, “Inside Llewyn Davis,” Timberlake has recorded three new tracks for the soundtrack.
The first, “Five Hundred Miles,” is a collaboration with Carey Mulligan (“The Great Gatsby”) and Stark Sands (“Generation Kill”).
For another, the former boy bander teamed up with the star of the film, Oscar Isaac, and “Girls” star Adam Driver for a track called “Please Mr. Kennedy.”
Lastly, Timberlake joins Marcus Mumford and members of Punch Brothers for a “traditional Irish ballad” titled “The Auld Triangle.”
“Inside Llewyn Davis,” from the Coen Brothers, stars Isaac as the titular character, a down-on-his-luck singer in the “early-‘60s Greenwich Village folk scene.”
Timberlake plays Jim Berkey, the husband of Mulligan’s character.
