Lea Michele Dedicates “You’re Mine” on Solo Debut to Cory Monteith
As excited as Lea Michele is for her forthcoming solo debut, she wouldn’t have felt right about it if she had not honored her late boyfriend, Cory Monteith.
The “Glee” star opened up about his passing for the December 2013 issue of “Elle” magazine, revealing that she recorded a track called “You’re Mine” in his honor.
“The album was done, and the label said, ‘Do you want to add anything?’ I was like, ‘I might regret it if I don’t,” she said (via “Us Weekly”).
Michele also shared that she moved in with “Glee” guest star Kate Hudson after Monteith died in order to stay out of the limelight.
“I called her and said, I don’t know where I’m going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters]. She was like, ‘Oh, you’re going to stay at my house.’ Like it was nothing.”
Michele’s family and her friends also stayed with Hudson for a time, with the 27-year-old adding, “I’ll never really be able to thank her truly, for what she did for me.”
