Lady Gaga’s Latest “Artpop” Track Is “Dope”
As the Little Monsters are counting down the days until the release of “Artpop,” Lady Gaga has unveiled her final preview track one week before it drops.
The song, titled “Dope,” which has a parental advisory attached for the use of some NSFW language, is slower and much more of a ballad than her previous singles “Applause” and “Do What U Want.”
Before releasing “Dope” Monday at midnight, the singer performed the song live at the first-ever Youtube Music Awards.
For her stripped-down performance during the live-streamed award show, Gaga belted out the track at the piano while fighting back tears.
The pop star also revealed the cover art for “Dope,” which shows a bruised Gaga sporting a floppy black hat covering her eyes and a shiny grill.
The song will be available on iTunes ahead of the record’s November 11 release.
