Liam Hemsworth is back on the horse after his recent split from ex-fiance Miley Cyrus.
Speaking with the Associated Press, the star, who is sure to have a box office hit on his hands with “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” is happier than ever.
“For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment,” he said (via “Life & Style”). “But being around someone like Jen[nifer Lawrence], who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I’m much happier.”
Hemsworth confirmed that he is not seriously attached and is focusing on himself, despite rumors of a fling with singer-actress Eiza Gonzalez.
“What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that’s all that matters,” he offered. “I know I’m a good person and these days I feel like I’m more centered and grounded than I’ve ever been.”
For the record, Cyrus seems to be just fine after the split as well, earning a no. 1 record and sparking controversy seemingly everywhere she goes.
She will also be closing out the American Music Awards on Sunday, and if the past is any indication, it’s sure to be a show-stopping performance.
