All of the characters on “Revenge” have had their ups and downs, but it appears as if that extends off-screen as well.
Just one day after it was announced that the ABC series would move to 10pm in March, likely due to the show’s flagging ratings, one of the stars revealed that he hopes to leave.
Josh Bowman, who plays Daniel Grayson on the show, tells “TV Guide” that he wants his character to be killed off unless the writers make him more evil than his father, Conrad Grayson.
“I’m trying to pitch a Daniel death by the end of the season,” he said. “I love working on the show, but I’m just being honest. My character has flip-flopped the most, and it’s been so hard for me to play.”
Bowman’s character began the series as one-third of the show’s core love triangle, along with Emily (his real-life girlfriend, Emily VanCamp) and Jack (Nick Weschler).
But the new showrunner said before the season began that Daniel is strictly a pawn in Emily’s game these days, with the vengeance-seeking socialite now torn between Jack and past love Aiden (Barry Sloane).
ABC's “Revenge” returns Sunday, December 8 at 9pm. Should the show kill off Daniel?
