“Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa and Joe Giudice found themselves in hot water earlier this year when they were charged on 39 counts of fraud.
While the family seemed to be taking it all in stride, including a vacation to Florida, a new report suggest that the pair are facing more fraud charges.
According to NJ.com, a federal court has charged the Giudices with two more counts in the indictment.
The new counts relate to a mortgage loan obtained by Teresa in July 2015 in which she allegedly claimed to be working as a realtor with a monthly $15,000 salary at a time when she was not employed, authorities tell the site.
“As she did with respect to the allegations contained in the original indictment, Teresa intends to plead ‘not guilty’ to the allegations in the new indictment,” her lawyer, Henry Klingeman, tells NJ.com. “She looks forward to defending herself at the trial, scheduled for February 24, 2014. Beyond that, we will answer all of the charges in court, not out.”
Despite the controversy, Teresa is still on board for the sixth season of “RHONJ,” which will see the return of Dina Manzo.
