Charlie Hunnam Responds to “Fifty Shades of Grey” Recasting

Charlie Hunnam
clearly has no hard feelings after departing the forthcoming adaptation of E.L. James’s #1 bestseller “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

TMZ caught up with the “Sons of Anarchy” star to ask how he felt about fellow Brit Jamie Dornan taking on the coveted role of Christian Grey in the film instead.

“I’m sure he’ll do a great job, I don’t really know his work, but I know Sam [Taylor-Johnson], the director, is amazing,” he tells TMZ. “She has fantastic taste, so I’m sure he’ll do a great job… I’m sure she made a great choice.”

For the uninitiated, Dornan is best known for playing Sheriff Graham in the first season of ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” and for his role as a diabolical killer in the U.K. series “The Fall.”

Hunnam left the project, which will also star Dakota Johnson, citing scheduling conflicts as the reasoning behind his exit.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” will now hit theaters on Valentine’s Day 2015. Which Christian Grey do you prefer?
