Kelly Clarkson has been vocal about planning to expand her family in the near future, but the singer’s family is sadly down one member.
According to E! News, the “American Idol” winner tweeted Friday that her dog Joplin died earlier this week, writing:
The singer adopted Joplin in May 2011 and took care of him until he died on November 14, two weeks after the release of her first Christmas record, “Wrapped in Red.”
Clarkson isn’t the only one who lost man’s best friend this year, as Lady Gaga also recently mourned the loss of her beloved dog.
Just two weeks ago, Gaga opened up via social media about Alice, her dog who died at 17 years old. She tweeted:
Like Clarkson, Gaga was also busy promoting her new album “Artpop” at the time of Alice’s passing, but she was still spotted sporting all-black clothing in memory of her pet pooch.
