Miley Cyrus’s On-Stage Pot Smoking Being Investigated, More Tour Details Revealed
Miley Cyrus continues to generate controversy; word has just come that authorities in Holland plan to investigate her pot-smoking performance at the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday (November 10), which may have violated a ban on smoking in public places.
Marijuana is also illegal in the Netherlands, though it was decriminalized in 1976.
But Cyrus still has plenty of supporters -- among them rapper Big Sean, who featured Cyrus in the video for the single "Fire" from his new album "Hall of Fame."
Sean tells us he felt Cyrus represented both the song and herself in the video:
"What I liked about it is that she was elegant in the video. She had been through a lot, just from emotionally to different romances or whatever, and she came out victorious and beautiful, I felt like. I wanted her to be a metaphor not just for women but for people who have been through their personal fire, and I think she did a great job in the video and I'm very proud of it."
Meanwhile, the Swedish electro-pop duo Icona Pop and singer Sky Ferreira will be opening for Cyrus on her upcoming Bangerz Tour, which kicks off February 14 in Vancouver.
