The CW has opted to keep its entire freshman lineup intact, handing out full-season orders for “The Originals,” “Tomorrow People” and “Reign.”
All three series have received a back-nine, bringing their series totals to 22, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
“In just a few seasons, we have built a much stronger primetime schedule,” CW president Mark Pedowitz said in a release (Via “THR”), adding, “We’re excited about the creative momentum the producers have established for all three of our new series, and now our fans will have the chance to see the full stories unfold for them this season.”
The CW has two other new series on the bench for midseason, alien romance “Star-Crossed” and the “Hunger Games”-esque “The 100.”
Pedowitz hinted that since the network’s schedule is pretty full, with the exception of Fridays once “The Carrie Diaries” ends its 13-episode second season, the shows might not air until closer to summer.
“With the additional episodes ordered, plus two new dramas and new reality for midseason, we’ll be able to continue our commitment to adding more original programming all year long,” he added.
