Laga Gaga Criticizes Her “Glamour” Magazine Cover: I Look “Too Beautiful”

Lady Gaga
may have recently sang “Do what you want with my body,” but that doesn’t necessarily apply to magazine covers.

The artist took the stage Monday night when she was honored as one of “Glamour” magazine’s Women of the Year, for which she covered the most recent issue of the magazine.

Gaga took the opportunity to instead suggest that the cover should have gone to another honoree, 16-year-old Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, “People” reports.

“Who really belongs on the cover is not me. If I could forfeit my ‘Glamour’ cover, I would give it to Malala,” she said.

Mother Monster added that not only was the young girl more deserving, but she took issue with the cover as well.

“Malala used her voice, so I’m going to use mine… The picture, which I’m very grateful for and very happy to be on this cover, I felt it was too beautiful,” she said (via “People”). “I felt my skin looked too perfect, and my hair looked too soft. This is not usually how I dress or carry myself.”
