It looks like a Disney executive just let the Jedi out of the bottle.
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Disney’s Director of Retail, Dennis Barbie, released some revealing tweets this week in which he appeared to give away the timeline for the next “Star Wars” film.
“Saw today some awesome first features/plans of new Star Wars 7 movie coming end 2015,” he wrote in the now-deleted tweet (via “THR”).
Barbie reportedly added that the winter 2015 release was planned but subject to change before releasing his mistake. He then tweeted:
Disney has announced grand plans to continue the “Star Wars” franchise, with a number of standalone films centering on iconic characters in the works as well.
There have been numerous rumors about the planned sequel, with original stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher all set to return.
