It might be time for the Jonas Brothers to put out an “SOS.”
The trio tells “People” that they have officially broken up, with Kevin Jonas stating, “It’s over for now.”
The news comes after reports that the band had cancelled their tour for their forthcoming album, though it’s not clear at present what will become of the record.
“It’s really hard to say ‘forever,’” Nick said. “We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”
In what Joe Jonas called a unanimous decision, talk of breakup began in early October when Nick revealed that he was “feeling kind of trapped” and “needed to share my heart with my brothers.”
Nick had previously revealed that he was working on another album with his band, Nick Jonas & the Administration.
The completed album, “V,” was the group’s first studio album in four years since 2009’s “Lines, Vines and Trying Times.”
