Exclusive Audio: Phillip Phillips Score "Idol" First, Talks Plans for Album No. 3

Phillip Phillips
, "American Idol's" 2012 champ, has not one but two albums on the Billboard 200 chart at the same time -- a first for "Idol" alumni.

Phillips new "iTunes Session" debuted at No. 148, while his 2012 debut album, "The World From the Side of the Moon," made a jump this week from No. 107 to 96.

Phillips, meanwhile, is starting to plan for his next album and already has an idea of what he'd like it to sound like:

"Kinda show a little bit more of me on than on this album 'cause we had three weeks to do it...Everything happened so fast...I'm really proud of the album. It does show a lot of me in it. I want to show more as well, more musical, I guess, musical, like artistic things in there, I guess...I dunno -- more of me. I don't really know how to explain it, but we'll see... I'm definitely thinking next year, hopefully either mid or beginning of middle of next year. We'll see."

Phillips kicks off a new U.S. tour on November 7 in York, Pa., before starting a fresh round of dates opening for John Mayer on November 19 in Moline, Ill.
