Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Ink Two-Year Deal to Return as “Golden Globes” Hosts
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be back to host the “Golden Globes”… for the next two years!
The terrific twosome has officially agreed to return as co-hosts for both the 2014 and 2015 Golden Globe Awards, Deadline reports.
“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” NBC’s alternative programming president Paul Telegdy.
Amy and Tina also scored rave reviews for their first time hosting this year, following up two-time host Ricky Gervais.
The duo’s cameo appearance in the opening for the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards was also a highlight, in which they jokingly heckled host Neil Patrick Harris from the crowd.
The “Saturday Night Live” alums are familiar faces over at NBC, where Amy leads the cast of “Parks and Recreation.” Though “30 Rock” came to an end, Tina is still working on comedy projects under a deal with Universal TV.
Amy and Tina will kick things off by hosting the “Golden Globes” on January 12, 2014.
