First “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” TV Spot Debuts
As the premiere of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” draws nearer, more footage from the upcoming blockbuster has been unveiled.
In a new 60-second TV spot first revealed on Walmart’s Facebook page, fans can see a sneak peek at Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale’s (Liam Hemsworth) latest sad departure.
The trailer promises more of Katniss’s home life in District 12, as she reunites with her mother and sister, Prim.
According to the movie’s official site, “Catching Fire” follows Katniss and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) as they embark on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts.
During the tour, “Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.”
Notably, the preview also uses Coldplay’s “Atlas,” the soundtrack’s leadoff single, which highlight’s the film’s slightly darker tone.
“Catching Fire” will be released on November 22, while the soundtrack will debut on November 19.
