Avril Lavigne has started the campaign for her upcoming, self-titled new album with a pair of upbeat singles, the platinum "Here's To Never Growing Up" and "Rock N Roll," both co-written with her husband, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.
But Avril tells us that they're not entirely indicative of what the rest of "Avril Lavigne" sounds like:
"Those sounds sound like me and I think what people would expect, but the record is so different...I'm excited for everyone to hear the record 'cause there's a lot of new stuff... The record`s kind of all over the place stylistically, so we've got a rock song with Marilyn Manson, I've got some stripped-down ballads that are piano-driven, I've got a couple duets...and then I even have a song I wrote called 'Hello Kitty' and that even has a bit of an electronic feel to it."
The album also includes a duet with Kroeger called "Let Me Go" that will be the album's next single.
"Avril Lavigne" is due out November 5, and she plans to play radio station-sponsored concerts during the holiday season and then tour in earnest during 2014.
