Linday Lohan’s comeback tour is going surprisingly well, and it seems like the folks at the Oprah Winfrey Network are determined to keep it that way.
Now that the star has begun work on her eight-hour OWN docuseries, TMZ reports that “an executive decision was made” to ban Lindsay’s parents, Dina and Michael, from the series.
Producers are choosing to ignore the “Lohan family circus,” focusing on Lindsay’s recovery. This could be a wise decision, especially considering the actress’s mother, Dina Lohan, who recently appeared in court on DUI charges.
Of course, Dina was the star of her own reality series at one point, E!’s “Living Lohan,” which featured her life as she raised her younger children.
Though Lindsay has mostly stayed out of the tabloids for bad behavior since leaving rehab, there were reports that Oprah Winfrey herself laid down the law after the star was a no-show on multiple occasions.
No air date or title has been announced for the OWN, but the untitled Lindsay Lohan project will likely air in 2014.
