It’s a girl for “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes!
The famous scribe, who also created “Scandal” and the “Grey’s” spinoff “Private Practice,” announced that she had welcomed her third child, according to "Us Weekly."
Though she didn’t reveal the baby’s name, she did share the news on Twitter:
Rhimes has two daughters, Harper and Emerson, both of whom she adopted. Though Harper was adopted back in 2002, her other two children are both recent additions.
The next few weeks are important to her for another reason, as “Grey’s” returns for a two-hour premiere next Thursday, with “Scandal” close behind on October 3.
With the Emmys this weekend, Rhimes will also be rooting for “Scandal” star Kerry Washington to take home the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama category.
If she’s successful, Washington would join Dan Bucatinsky, who won the Guest Actor in a Drama award for his recurring role on the addictive drama series.
