Robin Thicke Reveals Upcoming Tour Plans: Exclusive Audio

Robin Thicke
has announced details for a North American concert tour, which gets underway February 21 in Atlanta and plays 15 shows before wrapping up on March 29 in San Francisco.

The tour promotes Thicke's chart-topping new album, "Blurred Lines," and Thicke says he's purposely holding off on hitting the road in order to give the album time to build a head of steam:

"Because of all these blessings there's so many opportunities for promotion and radio stations and people that have never seen me before, so we're really gonna focus on just getting out there, and hopefully by next spring we'll be ready to put on a real U.S. tour.”

Jessie J and DJ Cassidy will be Thicke's opening act, and premium tickets will be sold via Tickets-for-Charity (www.ticketsforcharity.com) to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Tickets start going on sale Saturday (September 14) to American Express cardholders and on September 20 to the general public. The full itinerary and more details can be found at http://www.robinthicke.com.

Meanwhile, Thicke's hit "Blurred Lines" has been banned from student buildings at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland as part of the University Students' Association's End Rap Culture and Lad Banter on Campus initiative.

The group feels Thicke's song "promotes an unhealthy attitude towards sex and consent."
