George Clooney and Sandra Bullock are about to get lost in space.
No, they’re not shooting a big-screen reboot of the hit TV series from the ‘60s. Instead, the full trailer for their film “Gravity,” which is due out next month, has been unveiled.
Like the previous teaser trailer, the two-and-a-half minute preview opens on the incident that leaves them stranded in outer space.
Yet the new trailer also hints at what is to come for the A-List duo’s characters after their shuttle is torn to pieces.
According to CinemaBlend, “The Heat” actress plays a medical engineer sent into space to repair a satellite, with Clooney plays the seasoned astronaut who must work with her to find safety before their oxygen runs out.
The trailer mostly follows Bullock’s perspective, giving insight into her family life while showing her sheer and utter panic as the tragedy unfolds.
Directed by Alfonso Cuaron (“Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban”), the emotional film has a claustrophobic vibe, even though the characters are trapped in the vast emptiness of outer space.
“Gravity” will be released in theaters on October 4.
