“The Bachelorette” star Ali Fedotowsky is opening up about the news that her close friend Gia Allemand had taken her own life.
Ali, who started work as an E! News correspondent this week, mourned Gia’s passing yesterday with co-host Giuliana Rancic.
“We had dinner and talked about life, and talked about what she wanted to do, the next steps of her life,” Ali said.
The ex-reality star got emotional when she talked about seeing her friend for dinner last week, telling Giuliana that she had been talking about the future and didn’t know that she was going through a tough time.
“She was really, really a special person, and not everybody in the ‘Bachelor family gets along, but Gia was one of those people that everyone really loved,” Ali said through tears. “It’s really sad to think that she was in so much pain.”
Chris Harrison, who hosts “The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor Pad,” echoed that sentiment on Twitter earlier this week, writing:
The funeral for the ex-“Bachelor” contestant will be held in Queens, New York next week. To watch the emotional interview, head over to E! News.
