It’s a big day for Amanda Bynes, as the former child star is set to appear before a judge once again to appeal her court-ordered hospitalization.
The “NY Daily News” reports that Amanda’s parents are seeking to extend her stay for at least another month.
The 27-year-old actress has allegedly been diagnosed with schizophrenic tendencies, and a source tells the “Daily News” that she needs more time to adjust to her treatment.
“She’s not improving yet. She’s still delusional,” the insider said. “These meds take longer than a week to work, and she’s only been given them for about a week.”
Amanda’s mother, Lynn Bynes, has reportedly been working with the doctors at the psychiatric facility where her daughter is staying. The physicians are said to be pursuing the 30-day extension with Lynn in agreement.
While Radar Online reported that Lynn was seeking a closed hearing to keep the public and the media out, it is unclear whether that petition was granted.
