As any frequent “Ellen” viewer can tell you, Sophia Grace Brownlee was born to be a star.
Now “Entertainment Weekly” reports that the viral video star will get the chance when she leaps onto the big screen in Disney’s “Into the Woods.”
According to “EW,” the film tells the story of a couple who make a deal with a witch in order to have a baby, and their “journey brings them face-to-face with many famous fairy tale creatures.”
In the film, Sophia Grace will play Red Riding Hood opposite Johnny Depp as the wolf. Also cast in the film are Meryl Streep (The Witch), Anna Kendrick (Cinderella) and “Star Trek” star Chris Pine (Cinderella’s Prince).
The 10-year-old star got her start as part of “Sophia Grace & Rosie,” an adorable singing duo that has appeared and performed on Ellen DeGeneres’s talk show dozens of time.
“Into the Woods” is set for release on Christmas Day 2014. What do you think of this casting news? Do you think there’s a part in it for Rosie too?
