2012 Fight for Air Walk Kickoff Event
Registered Team Captains and participants are invited to attend the Fight for Air Walk Kickoff breakfast and find out more about the Walk, how to organize a Walk team, and be given support and information on fundraising tips and opportunities. Participants who wish to attend but are not yet registered may do so online here or at 8:30am the morning of the Kickoff. Children may attend with registered parents. While in historic Old City Philadelphia, participants can take the opportunity to explore some of Philly’s most historic sites after the Kickoff event! Black Tie Bowling
Stay classy with the BEN-FM Party Patrol for an evening of "Black Tie Bowling" at Wynnewood Lanes, 2228 Haverford Road in Ardmore, PA. Bringing a new twist to the term “Black Tie Event," each team of 8-10 chooses their own charity to support, with the top 3 teams earning $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 respectively for their charity. Cost is $60 for bowlers, cost includes bowling, food, drink specials, 2 games, shoe rentals, and tons of fun. Fight for Air Walk
Join the American Lung Association in raising awareness for lung disease and the fight for clean air by participating in the 2012 Fight for Air Walk. The Fight for Air Walk is a 3-Mile walk through historical Philadelphia, starting at Headhouse Square, 2nd and Lombard Sts. Registration begins at 8:30AM and the Walk starts promptly at 10:00AM. There are plenty of fun events and activities for children and families who wish to participate. The money raised at this Walk allows the American Lung Association to fund lung research, programs for lung disease (such as Asthma) for adults and children, tobacco prevention and cessation programs, and advocate for clean and healthy air (indoors and outdoors), and provides our communities with lung health awareness and resources. Register to participate, fundraise, volunteer or sponsor the event here.
