Nadine Schwalb - Christmas Village (open now)

Nadine Schwalb grew up in a small village in south western Germany situated in the contemplative Forest of Odes. As a student at University of Mannheim she has a background in business administration and cultural studies such as German studies. She is working as a freelancer for two magazines writing about cultural events, art and film. In order to fuse both business and culture she helps to organize a variety of events from poetry slams to band contests to street theatre festivals. Having spent the last Winter in northern Sweden she immediately took the opportunity to work for Christmas Village in Philadelphia and spend another half a year abroad. Bringing some German Culture to America is her current mission with working as Event Manager for Christmas Village in Philadelphia. Faatimah and her husband Kenny Gamble (legendary Sound of Philly) use their style and grace to give back to the community in a myriad of ways, through Pearls of Wisdom, a character building and social etiquette program, alongside Boys to Men. They are both staunch promoters of wellness as a community and together they acquired 160 pieces of property to start a community development program.
