Bestselling author (God's Politics), public theologian, speaker, preacher and international commentator on religion, public life, faith and politics is in town today speaking at Friends Select School (Benjamin Franklin Parkway) at 7:00 p.m. The Reverand will autograph copies of his new book as well, Rediscovering Values: On Wall Street, Main Street and Your Street. I have a suggestion, Mr. "share-the-wealth," instead of preaching to me about greed, why don't you preach about values of hard work, not killing each other, not having kids as a teen? Many of those mortgages you talk about went to people who couldn't afford them even if you brought them current and re-wrote them. Oh, and I may not be from Detroit but I have been around long enough to know that Detroit had problems for years before the economy went bad. Detroit has been a hole for years with crime and murders at the forefront. You want to talk personal responsbility for "greed"? Why don't you preach it to people in other ways and maybe it would help them economically.
